Applies to releases 1.0.1 and 1.1.1

In core.php I find the following

# To make Mantis 'offline' simply create a file called
# 'mantis_offline.php' in the mantis root directory.
# Users are redirected to that file if it exists.
# If you have to test Mantis while it's offline, add the
# parameter 'mbadmin=1' to the URL.

Using release 1.1.1 (and confirmed with 1.0.1) I followed the above directive.

Page 'mantis_offline.php' is properly displayed as expected. If I add ?mbadmin=1 to the login.php url, I do see the login page, however, I cannot login to my bugtracker. I get bounced back to the offline.php page.

Is it just me, or do others see this. I could not easily find an issue in the bugtracker about this problem.

Looks like a bug. Please report a bug in the bug tracker with this issue. I would also like to know the scenario where you wanted to access Mantis while it is offline for maintenance. For example, did you want to verify that everything is working before getting it back online?

Actually, I was upgrading from Mantis 1.0.1 to 1.1.1 on a new server. I wanted to take the old server offline (effectively freezing activity until we point the domain to the new server), yet I also wanted to tell our two developers that if they need to consult an issue they could do so while it was offline by using a revised url I would give them. I would have reminded them that any notes they would add to issues and status changes would be lost.

I have just submitted issue 8994 in the bug tracker.

Is there any update planed for allowing the Administator to login while maintenance phase?

I have the same issue also. I am using version 1.2.2.
