i would like to add an additional field for users with more than one email addresses
or can this be done like separate the email addresses using , or | similar to adding values to custom fields with enumeration type?
how can i do this?

How do you see this alternate email address being used? Or is it just for your records? There is some work in progress to support custom fields for projects, users, etc. You can use such feature to capture the alternate email address.
