Has any official announcement/plan/mention been made regarding making Severity, Reproducibility and Priority customizable?
Thanks.

What do you mean by customizable?
1. Customize the options for each?
2. Customize whether they are visible?
3. Customize who can see/set them?

Although I don't know what is actually wanted in the original post, I would like to see that the following customization capabilities in Mantis:
1. User can determine the set of fields in the issue record. User can also determine whether the field is mandatory or optional.
2. The states of an issue can be defined by user according to their issue process.
3. Values of fields can be customized to fit their issue process. For example, severity may be customized to "High", "Medium", "Low" or "1", "2", "3", "4" instead of the existing preset list of values.
4. These customization can be done via a User Interface instead of making change to PHP files.
5. User can determine what fields are visible to which roles.
I am not sure how feasible are these "wants" in Mantis. But, that would make the adoption of Mantis into work a lot easier.
Regards,
Francis

I think I find the way to achieve customization need #3 in my message above. Please check my other post with title "Unofficial way to customize Severity & Priority" (
http://www.mantisbt.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5947).
Although I believe they are inline with the developer's approach of customization, there is no guarantee that they will be taken into consideration by developers in future releases.
