Is there a way, that users get a notification wail when a new version of a project is available?

This is not what I mean,
I am looking for a feature inside MantisBT
I want to have the possibility in MantisBT to send a notification mail when there is a new version in one of the projects that I am tracking in MantisBT.
Maybe users can configure, whether they want to get mails when a new version is available, like they can coonfigure whether they want to get mail when an issues is changed.
