I am using 1.1.6

what is the best way to remove the "profile" info?
e.g
Select Profile
OR Fill In
Platform
OS
OS Version

We are using the system to track things other than software, so these fields just clutter up the page.

Also, I want to ideally make the changes so that it will not get overwritten the next time I do an upgrade.

Until recently I thought this was impossible as you cant do a whole lot with the default fields. But i found just yesterday the MyReport plugin http://deboutv.free.fr/mantis/plugin.ph ... n=MyReport

and this adds some of this functionality. I have only investigated at a cursory level but it might help!
