customize "view issues"

Hello,
I read customizing "View Issues" should be possible from version 1.0 ..
Is this still correct ?
I would like to be able to select the colums displayed (include custom fields)
Can anyone help on how to do this ?

Hi,
I have the same request. I have a custom field called 'Cost' and I would like to have this custom field displayed in the 'View Issues' page. Please help! I know I can change the function custom_function_default_get_columns_to_view(), but how do i get custom fields to display in there?
Please help!
