Ordering issues in 'View Issues'

Does anyone else find it a bit restrictive with how ordering in Mantis is done? I love Mantis, but my one gripe is how the ordering of issues is handled - whilst I do agree that ordering by 'Updated' is great most of the time, it'd also be great if:
1) When selecting to order by a different column from 'Updated' (I often like to view in order of 'Priority'), it would then remember it and not keep flicking back to 'Updated'.
2) I love how Basecamp lets you click & drag the ordering of to-do's - would be great if Mantis let you do this too as I often find myself writing out a list of issues and the order in which I want them tackled and then sending separately over e-mail to my developer(s).
A few questions about the above:
• Am I alone in these requests?
• Is the above already planned for in a future release of Mantis?
• Is the above a possible customisation that I could get a developer to do for me?
