Hi ALL,
I'm Clay. Me and my work mates have been using this system and loves it especially the way it monitors but recently, we are having storage problems.
So here are a few questions...
Do disabled projects still consume memory space? in sql ?
If the answer is no, how do we delete completed projects that we no longer want to use to free up some memory?
Also, what are some steps to running the system faster efficiently?

I'm just overseeing the probability that these problems will arise later on when so much data has been put on.

Without being more precise it will be hard to give you any advice.
Ok, there is one I can give you: Use a two times faster machine and maybe your system will become 50% faster

Be aware that there can't be just a simple magic switch to set good performane to "on" or "off".
If there is one, I am pretty sure it would be set to "on" by a standard MantisBT installation.

Searching of bottlenecks needs a deep knowledge of all components.

To start, you should provide description of your software and hardware environment
Versions of operating system, PHP, database, webserver, MantisBT
available physical memory, CPU type ....

Furthermore the knowledege of quantity structure will help.
How many projects, issues, users, custom fields, ....... are stored in your database?

And the simple but pragmatical question should be answered:
Which is the action, where performance is the biggest problem of your daily workflows?

For example: Viewing a single issue, entering a new issue, updating an existing issue, filtering of issues, .....
