Summary0012703: Can't do Multiple assignment : Status cannot be changed
Description

In the "View Issues" window, if I check multiple bugs then select to Assign them to a group, I get an error (see picture below).

I tryed with an administrator account, does the same thing.

When doing it bug by bug, I can assign them.

Steps To Reproduce

1- Go to "View Issues"
2- Check more than one bug
3- On the bottom of the page, select "Assign" then press OK.
4- On the next window, select a group to assign them then press OK.
5- This is where I get the error

Check your workflow settings.
Maybe you configured that it's not allowed to set the status to assigned from the current status of the issue.

Yes, user have the rights. As I said, If I open bug one by one, I can
assign them. But if I do many at the same time (with the check boxes on the View Issues screen), I'll get the error.

I am not able to reproduce this issue with version 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 of MantisBT
I tried assigning to a DEVELOPER account from an ADMINISTRATOR account with four issues from two different projects without getting any error message.

Finally, it was, as atrol said, a Workflow setting.

Thanks

not closed, a more precise error message would help to find the cause for such a problem

I had to check the boxes in MANAGE > CONFIGURATION > WORKFLOW TRANSITION so the next status "can" be "assigned".

you wrote at 0012703:0028047 "If I open bug one by one, I can
assign them"
Is this true? If yes, this would be a bug.

Yes before I made theses changes, I could open a ticket, then use the option to assign it.

I wasn't possible only when multiple bugs we're selected
