Summary0036282: I cannot see deleted notes
Description

We are using MantisBT version 2.27.1. My role is Administrator. We configured the system so that only administrators can delete their own or others' notes. However, we noticed that we cannot see deleted notes in a bug's history when they are deleted by other administrator users.

The history only shows deleted notes for the individual administrator user. For example:

If I delete a note from a bug, the history shows: "User jmelendez has deleted a note."

But if another administrator accesses the same bug_id, they do not see in the history that "jmelendez deleted a note."

Could I be missing a configuration in MantisBT Management? What might be happening?

"In the attached image, you can see a note deleted by my user account (jmelendez). However, another administrator user (carusso) does not see in the same bug ID that jmelendez deleted a note. Carusso sees no history entry about a note being deleted unless he deletes a note himself in the same bug. In that case, he will see his own deleted note, but I will not see Carusso’s deleted note."

I'm sorry @atrol, but I don't understand what I need to do. I understand that one of @vboctor's recommendations is to 'add a bypass for administrators so they see all activity', but how can I do this?

Your problem is the same as described in 0036257, which is why atrol closed this Issue as duplicate.

The problem will be fixed in a future version of MantisBT, there is nothing for you to do, except wait (unless you want to modify the source code).
You have been automatically added to the monitoring list, so you will get a notification when something happens in the other issue.
