| Summary | 0005435: Feature request: Checkbox to explicitly exclude filters in search | ||||
| Description | It would be great to have a check box next to the search box that allows you to bypass filters. In this way, you can cut down on your "View Issues" clutter by excluding resolved/closed items but still take advantage of a knowledge-base-type search of all issues without having to keep changing the current filter. | ||||

There is a box with a "-" in it beside the search box that will collapse the filter list. Is this what you are looking for? |

No, I mean when you search, the results that get returned are filtered through whatever filter you happen to be using at the time. A simple example: I'm in the View Issues screen. I'm viewing all issues that are not closed. I search for "Service Pack 2," and it returns only issues that aren't closed. There are several results with a status of "closed" that are not returned that have valuable bug resolution information. I'd like to be able to explicitly not have my search results filtered, but rather have it search and return all results regardless of status, category, date, etc. Having a way to explicitly bypass filters w/out having to redefine or change my current filter would be handy. |
