Summary | 0007920: Check out Mantis Effort
Description | MantisEffort is a time tracking patch for Mantis. Since we have integrated time tracking in Mantis now, it is worth check out this alternative patch to see if it has any features or ideas that we should implement into core Mantis. Any such features should be created as a child issue if this one. http://www.calidstyle.com/products/freeware/mantis_effort.html Also if someone ends up implementing an upgrade path from MantisEffort to the time tracking implemented in Mantis core, please post it on the bug tracker so others can use it to upgrade to the standard implementation.

I guess no one is actually looking into this... |

The only thing I could offer is my thoughts and that is it would be neat to have categories we can set up (per project) and associate with each note. I find for instance I leave one note to show I spent 0:08 creating the features, and then I submit that note and then time myself for testing, and submit it as a separate note. Later on it would be useful for us to have that data so we can go back and run reports, and invest in automated forms of testing (if we found out that testing was taking up more resources then development for instance). So basically the ability to categorize each note and then generate a pie chart to see where our time is going. |
