Summary	0009877: GUI whatchamacallit lookup for "Steps To Reproduce"
Description	Wouldn't it be nice if everyone used a common vocabulary for all those GUI controls when writing Reproduction steps?
Steps To Reproduce	How about having a "GUI Glossary" link in the Steps To Reproduce that opens a narrow window with captures of select GUI elements. Clicking the element could insert the element's name (just like phpBB editor's "Quote" button does with psuedo hypertext tags while posting a message to the Mantis forums) into the Steps To Reproduce window.
Additional Information	Incremental improvements could be added to support: 1.Inserting a hyperlink around the insert text to show GUI element in tha narrow selector window as a reminder for those reading bug reports. 2.Grouping of elements under categories or by name of screen where used. 3.Ability to mark an element as being a control on multiple pages 4.Copy element to clipboard 5.an option to output the entire Steps-To-Reproduce and all referenced elements as an Web archive MHT file would be fantastic for re-using fixed bugs reports for User web docs. 6.full screen captures with ISMAP coordinates used for inserting uniquely named controls rather than generic control names. 7.Ability for libraries of GUI elements to be inserted. (XP, Vista, Mac, etc.) Reference HTML image maps http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/images/images_famsupp_220.html Utilities are available (such as WebMap on the Mac side, MapEdit for Windows, or MapMarker for Unix systems) for interactively adding ccordinate mapping to images.
