Hello everybody!

I´d like to change some attributes of the simple report page. I want to, for example, put the "assign to" box on both pages (advanced and simple report).

Advanced report page already comes with this by default, but how can i make the simple report page to have it too? And what if ...

I´m having some problems to establish the initial page of Mantis as that one showing the recent bugs. So that the user can login if he wants to report a new bug etc.

Is validate_email a bad thing to leave turned on?
In the admin (verify instalation) validate_email = OFF? BAD appears with a red tone. Seems frightening... :)

What is this all about? Should I leave it Off?

But then there´s this...

config_inc.php carries all the configs relative to connecting to the host, connecting to the database etc. That´s really the main config. But config_defaults_inc.php has configuration relative who is the guy that can delete bugs (in my case only the manager and up)... Again ...

On an upgrading basis...

Is it safe to completely change the config_defaults_inc.php? The main thing I want to know is? Does that file remain unchanged after each upgrade. In other words, after I make the upgrade, instead of configuring config_defaults_inc.php all over again. Is it safe to just ...

The file permissions for the hole mantis folder tree is:

Owner of all files: apache;
Group of all files: apache;
Chmod for all files: rwx------ (700).

Did this by entering the Mantis folder and typing:

chown -R apache *
chgrp -R apache *
chmod -R 700 *

The result screen is blank because of the display_errors = Off in display_errors segment.

So I turned on the display_errors and induced the error again and received this response from Mantis:

Fatal Error: 401 in (drive):\(path_to_mantis)\core\database_api.php on line 128.

I was trying to attach a file to Mantis because I was concerned about several problems within the forum about uploading bigger files...
Anyway... I uploaded a file of 1,67 MB. My Mantis is configured to handle files up to 2 MB.

Here... Did the procedure with my Mantis and now works sharp!
BTW, changes are supposed to bem made in: [mantis_path]/core/string_api.php (line 193)

I changed it on the config_defaults_inc.php and now everything works fine.

$g_hostname = 'my.domain.address.here';

Now everything works fine, except when opening Mantis on the server using, for example: http://localhost/mantis... When I report a Bug using this address, the bug goes on the email ...

Well after looking over again I found this on Bug 0007051

If there is no security reason for it, I would suggest removing the "$t_param = str_replace( '?','', $t_param );" line.

I missed some information that can be helpful...

The link takes me to the login page. I log my user and passowrd and AFTER THAT the error occurs.

Anyway... On the error 404 page, there´s still a link to the page. And when I click it, a page appears with this message:
