About Mantis Community

Post by davide »

Hi,

I like Mantis very much but I believe that we could improve our efforts using only one forums or wiki or mailing lists...

We have:
- Forums
- Mailing lists
- Wiki
- Mantis's Bug Tracker

What do you think about this?

I agree there is a bit of information overload...

sometimes it is hard to tell where to look for an answer... I am not sure whether one medium is any faster than another for getting responses.

Generally, I think there are more answers in the forums than the wiki, but I also think there is a lot of crap (unanswered questions and duplicate threads) as well, that makes searching tough.

I can not comment on the mailing lists and I have not seen quick responses in the bug system, so I have to conclude the forums seem to be the best for me at this point.

One day, maybe someone will come up with a way to see the wiki with threads from the forums :D

And don't forget that we have the Manual too... with a forum in it!
