error signing up new users

Mantis 1.0.8

When i try register a new user, i get the following error message

PROBEMS SENDING MAIL TO: [email address]
Mailer Error. The following From address failed: admin@example.com

Look at config_inc.php.sample. You need to set your email configuration.
