2 issues with Mantis BT

Hello everyone!
I'm pretty new with this software and i have 2 questions to ask, if anyone knows the answers, i'd appreciate it!

First matter is related to the mailing. There are about 5 users registered on my mantis, and i would like only the user who has a task assigned and the one who assigns him the task to be notified by email-maybe the ones who are monitorizing the issue as well, but not anyone else. Even though the rest of the users don't have anything to do with that task, they receive email notofications anyway. Anyone knows how to solve that? There's one admin and the rest of the users are reporters..

My second matter is about patches. I want to add the avatar patch to my mantis but can't really figure out the way it has to be done.

Hi,

I was with the same problem..now it´s solved.

Go to Manage => Manage Configuration => Email Notifications

select the project that you want to configure then check or uncheck events and roles as you want.

Hi,

Check the developer column crossing with events listed on the left side of the table.

For instance, check the whole column and later handle some issues..
Developers will probably receive emails...then you check if who received is who really had to receive.

Still need some help with how to install a patch
(this one to be more precisely - http://bugs.mantisbt.org/view.php?id=8257)

I added the plugin manager but failed instalation at this points:

Install the plugin
Step 2 / 3: Patching files FAIL
Install the plugin
Step 1 / 2: Patching files FAIL

I checked before and all the files were chmoded to 666 and the folders to 777
