Creating a New Project Error...

Post by littleolemedesigns »

Ok.. whenever I go to create a new project, I'm getting this error:
Invalid upload path. Directory either does not exist or not writable to webserver
I've have checked all the files involved.. and all are CMOD 777.. I've tried relative and absolute paths in the
Upload File Path
box.. and neither one works... I've tried setting it as public or private... no change... the relative path is
/uploads/lwitherow/memlanetemplate/
Does anyone have any idea what's going on??

I have:

files/GIV/
which is relative patch.. where absolute is

/var/www/mantis/files/GIV

seems your
/uploads/lwitherow/memlanetemplate/
is not relative :P

It is the relative path.... http://www.myurl.com/uploads/lwitherow/memlanetemplate/ is the direct path. I finally figured it out this morning... I'm putting in:
/uploads/lwitherow/memlanetemplate/
when it wanted
uploads/lwitherow/memlanetemplate/

I'm guessing the code that calls for the rest of the path already includes the first /

I'm starting to like Mantis better now that I'm getting over the nightmare of setting it up... and I make a living installing software for other people!.. I can't believe how complicated this one was. But it seems like it will be worth the headache. :D
