Including Mantis in a Project Archive

Post by BAMaustin »

After a public release of a project or mothballing a product, I like to do a COMPLETE archive to "permanent" storage. This goes along with my Images of the development box and target box, and a copy of the CSV repository.

It would be good to do an archive of the entire Mantis system and am wondering if anyone has already been through that?

Seems like the best practice will be to:
- install an Instant Mantis a removable drive (or USB flash drive if that's viable with the amount of records to be stored.)
- Port the databases from the live Mantis installation to the Instant Mantis one.
- Reset the passwords for databases and at least 1 admin level user to something standard
- Document access info in a ReadMe file with the instructions for starting Instant Mantis & a copyright notice for the mothballed project.
- Restart the Instant Mantis and verify basic operation
- Export a CSV Export to a ''FallbackArchive' directory
- Print appropriate reports to PDF files in that ''FallbackArchive' directory
- Burn 2 copies on write-once media
- Have someone 'idiot test' the burned copy

What am I missing?
