Blank page after install

After successful install ( no errors, everything is good by admin/check.php) I'm getting absolutely blank index page. No errors and no messages on the page. In my web error log, following entries appear

File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/fp30reg.dll
chunked Transfer-Encoding forbidden: /404.cgi

Any help is appreciated...

Have you installed the database schema from sql/db_generate.sql ?

Yes, This works file on my XP laptop but does not on the server with same setup except for OS. Linux. Could there be something in the server setting. Other PHP/MYsql based application runs fine. Even the admin pages of mantis are O.K , the admin chech.php returns the same results on server as on XP laptop.
