Hi
I often get complaints from few users that they donot receive a mail alert from Mantis even if a bug is assigned to them.
Is there a way in which I can enable the logging of mails being generated by Mantis so that I can check whether Mantis has actually generated an alert for that specific user?

I'm using Mantis 1.1.8, Apache 2.2, MySQL 5.0.84, all running on Windows XP SP2

I just did a quick check on all the bugs posted where mail alerts were received on assignment & those where the mail alert was not received on assignment.
Those bugs which were posted on the Advanced report page with the "assigned to" field populated, the mail alert is received by the user being assigned.
Those bugs for which the reporting was done first & then the assignment had happened, mail alert was not received by the user.
Can any one please help me with any ideas where & how to fix this. Ofcourse the mail alert was working earlier, but not sure what change I did & the assignment mail alert was disabled in the second case.

I just did some more analysis & found that when a bug assignment is changed/done thru the update issue page an alert to the assigned user is not sent, but alert on update is sent to all other developers,managers & other users as per configuration.
But when a bug assignment happens in the advanced report page or in the respective bug page thru the assign to button, then an alert is sent to the assigned user.
Hence let me know whether there's a fix for this where the alert could be sent to the assigned user even from the update issue page, or if there's a way in which the assign to option is disabled from the update issue page...
