Mantis is great, i am very new to It, but already appreciate It.
Now I would like to know if It is possible to send e-mails (possibly cc) to people other than the users (people I could not yet convert to the ease of use of Mantis ;)

Mantis only sends emails to users and it aims to keep email addresses of such users secure to avoid them being spammed or disclosed to other users who don't have the appropriate access level.
Hence, if you want to send emails to some non-mantis users or even groups of users, you will need to create dummy accounts with their email or the groups email as the email address. These dummy accounts have to be enabled for Mantis to send emails to them. However, since the users don't have the passwords, they won't be able to login using such accounts.
