Using custom fileds in Reports

For the Mantis using in our company it is very important to output custom fields to the reports and view issues. Two month ago I read an announcement at your internet site, that this is already programmed in the version 1.0.0a3. How I can see this is possible only with additional programming.

When do you plan to implement a possibility to use custom fields in view, print and report functions without programming?

Is it possible to download a examples of customized functions?
