Where add new function in Mantis?

Where add new function in Mantis?

Hello everybody, I'm new in Mantis,

:?: I'm reading about Mantis I don't very sure if the new functions are add in the archive custom_functions_inc.php because I don't found this archive into original Mantis.
So have I to create this archive in root of Mantis to add new function of user?
If it isn't How it can add new functions in Mantis and which is the form? :roll:

I hope someone can answer me, thanks.

Since verion 1.2 there is also a new plugin system available to write new functions
