Signup Problem

I am playing and experimenting with mantis-0.17.2.

I have some problems with signup feature like if i sign up with the existing username it should give a error saying "username exists" instead its giving some weird errors related to "/core/gpc_api.php page" and "print_api.php".

Mantis version 0.17.2 was released almost 4 years ago. The newer versions display 'user understandable' error messages like the one you are suggesting.

Along with that, there's a huge amount of new features so I would recommend grabbing version 1.0.0 and use that as a starting point...
