How to schedule emailing of reminders?

running MantisBT on a linux box,
how can i get MBT to send out Daily (or Weekly) reminders to reporters and developers of open issues?

I'm afraid there is no built-in automation for that so far. You can write you own php routine which does this and then run it as a scheduled task. As far as I know Cas has a related plugin.
