Sort issues by elapsed time (lastUpdate - dateSubmitted)?

My boss wants to see which issues have required the most effort based on the time elapsed from the date an issue was submitted to the time the issue was closed (or current date if still open). Is there a way to sort by (lastUpdate - dateSubmitted) or something with similar effect?

along the top of the screen is Roadmap - Summary etc...

Click on SUMMARY, & on the right panel, I see a section called Longest open.

right now, i only have 8 cases / issues to attend to - Slowly adding more. So I'm not sure what it shows after 10, 20, 50 cases etc..

I'm guessing that each section of the summary screen shows a limited number of items...

Thanks! My supervisor say that is close enough and he likes the summary page that has some other good stats as well.
