mantis querry

hi all,

iam new to this mantis bug tool, so as a tester is it enough if i add the bug to the mantis and assign it to the concerned person and then get it fixed and c to it that the bug is closed, and finally prepare a report, is it enough with this as a tester or is there any thing more that a tester should do in the mantis pls guide me in this regard.
