plugin manager

Hi Guys,

I guess this is a repeated question, by I have found nothing after 3 days searching for the info,

I don't have "manage plugins" on manage Tab, then I'm aware that I need to install a plugin Manager first, but I found no more in the links in the forum "provided by deboutv", Mantis I'm using is 1.1.8, under unix.

I wonder if you can help me asap with the links to download from and the procedure to install it.

The "Manage Plugins" functionality has been introduced in MantisBT version 1.2
I recommend to upgrade to this version because
a) 1.1.8 is outdated and not longer supported
b) the mentioned Plugin Manager provided by deboutv is a 3rd party development and not compatible with version 1.2 of MantisBT

Thank you for the clarification,

is it safe to upgrade to 1.2 what's the risk to lose data/custom fields/...? how is it simple? is there a defined steps to follow? and how much time it should late?

There can't be an answer for all installations.
If you didn't change anything in original 1.1.8 source code and didn't write any custom functions and your operating environment is not outdated (very old PHP or MySQL version) there are just a few steps to upgrade to latest stable version.
