Trouble on mantis with LDAP when you have "." on t

i installed mantis connected to LDAP
i ve got a trouble because with LDAP we need that the connection is :
surname.name

the trouble connection is "."

Is someone know, how can i solve this trouble ?

PS : i use the mantis 1.0.3 version
