Summary -> Release Notes

Post by iherrmann »

At the end of any development process, sort or release should take place, prefered with ReleaseNotes.

Wouldn't it be great to enable Mantis to extract the issues into some sort of release note document? I imagine it to look like this:

Version 02.05.00.01
-----------------------
New features:
#111222 - refresh functionality enhanced
#111225 - ....

Resolved bugs:
#111223 - crash at whatever ...

That's basically what the changelog does. So long as you are using versions and so long as you select the 'fixed in version' when marking an issue as resolved, it will automagically show up in the changelog page in a similar format.

For an issue to appear in the changelog it has to satisfy the following conditions:

1. Resolved with resolution "fixed".
2. Fixed in Release set.

Heck... for some odd reason the changelog functionality kept totally hidden for me. Great, that's indeed what i was looking for. Sorry for wasting time. ;)
