Confusing email notification configurations

Post by Matthias »

Hi,

we are a little bit confused with the configurations of email notifications in Mantis version 1.0.5.
As an admin I can fill the notification grid for "All project" and for "specific Project".
You know, the grid with "Email on Change of Handler", "Email on Reopend", ...

Some users now said, that they have deactivated every point of email notification under "MyAccount", "Preferences"
and that they are still recieving notification emails. Not every time, but sometimes.

I compared the configurations of email notifications and found out, that they are not equal for every area.

User:

1. On New
2. Email on Change of Handler
3. Email on Feedback
4. Email on Resolved
5. Email on Closed
6. Email on Reopened
7. Email on note Added
8. Email on Status Change
9. Email on Priority Change

Admin:

1. Email on Change of Handler
2. Email on Reopened
3. Email on Deleted
4. Email on note Added
5. Email on Relationship changed
6. Status changes to 'new'
7. Status changes to 'feedback'
8. Status changes to 'acknowledged'
9. Status changes to 'confirmed'
10. Status changes to 'assigned'
11. Status changes to 'resolved'
12. Status changes to 'closed'

As you can see there are a few more options for Admin.
Ok, some could be seen under User #8 "Email on Status Change". But they are not only more, they are different.

If someone adds a relationship or deletes an issue, our users are getting email notifications, even if they deactivated them in the user account preferences.

My question:
Do I misunderstood the behavior of the configuration settings(then please give me a hint) or is this a bug/issue in this Mantis version?
