Very basic help

Post by lpantos »

I have installed Wamp5 1.6.6 to my windows 2000 box; I have installed Mantis 1.0.6.

Both of these things are on the d: drive as we have not space on the c:

So although I say I installed mantis, I probably didn't; I download and unzipped it. I don't see a 'install.exe' file so I wasn't sure how to proceed. I did look in the documentation but it assumes more than I know at this point; I can find my way around php to make changes, but just not sure what to do to start installing.

Thanks!

P.s> I guess I"M thinking of it from a local standpoint, but should I do it all via the web:

I need to run mantis from my d: drive since we have a very small c: drive; I have wamp5 currently running on c and so that is where the www files are; when I take Ed's suggestion and put Mantis in the www directory, eveyrthing is great.. but I have about 1/2 mb of disk space left.. so..
suggestions on how to run all this from d:?

Thanks!

Have you thought about installing wamp5 on your D:\ or having a tidy up of what is on C:\?

If you want to store attachments on disk you can specify the real path in the config file.
