German Umlaut Problem

Hi,

I have upgraded Mantis from 1.0.0a3 to 1.0.6 and moved it to a new server at the same time, so I had to backup + restore the MySQL database using mysqldump. Basically, everything seems to work, but all the German Umlaute (ä,ö etc.) are now displayed as rubbish (Ã¼ instead of ö for example).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

solved: repeating the data import with "mysql default-character-set=utf8 ..." got rid of the misspelled 'Umlaute'.

I upgraded from Mantis 1.1.0a3 to Mantis 1.1.0a4 and all my Umlaute (öäü and so on) are broken as well. Problem now: Some people already worked with that state - I can't just "reload" the old backup. Any chance to convert my current DB?
