MySQL versions supported by Mantis

Hello,

A few days ago I posted to this forum about my failed attempts to install Mantis 1.0.8 on an Ubunty Fiesty (7.04) server.

The only response I received said something about MySQL versions.

My question therefore is can anyone tell me which versions of MySQL are known to work with Mantis 1.0.8??

the main site lists requirements.

the listed spec is:

MySQL database 3.23.2 and higher
