A way to return to the page I was on after updating a bug?

Post by Hsoj »

Sorry if this is answered somewhere. I tried forum searches, and looking through the manual, but I probably missed it.

I need a way to go from updating the bug, back to the page I was on.

So say, I'm on the My View page, I click the pencil graphic by the bug I wanted to update, then when I'm done updating, I click on the submit button, I want to be taken back to the My View page.

Currently, I will be taken to the View Bug page.

Is there a way to get this to work simultaneously with, say, if I clicked on the pencil graphic from the View All Issues page, or clicked update bug while viewing the bug?

Or even, can there be extra submit buttons that say, "Update and go to My View" page, etc.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Could you file this as an enhancement request in the tracker at http://bugs.mantisbt.org/ ?

I use Firefox as my browser. When I click the edit or whatever I hold Control down which opens the link in a new tab - when I've finished editting I can just close it and the original tab is where it was. In IE you could use Open in New Window.

Thanks, I have added this as #5583

And thanks for the tip, Jelv. That is good advice. I'll pass it on to my users.

Thanks again for the help and for the great work :)
