I wasn't aware of that - thanks.
But it seems that bug is dead in the water, the last update was 07-03-05 10:32.
Unless you know something else?

Actually I got it from CVS Sourceforge and is in latest CVS included.
I did not tried yet fully, but seems to be nice feature.
Now maybe a next step should be a small need to finish until date (estimated hours spend on a bug), like a milestone??

Nice

Any chance of a screenshot?
Then I can update the google code page with this information
Does it include reporting?

Suppose I had better say hello as I am writting the TimeTracking intergration featured at :
http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=4428
It's not dead - I'm close to completion. I just wanted to intergrate the filtering mechanism into the statistics. So many people have so many different ideas on the best way to do billing that I need to take a step back and have a think. That feature may have to wait until the next version

David, great to see that you are on top of this. Let me know when you've clear direction with regards to where we are going as far as future features relating to time tracking.

Hi, I had followed all the steps indicated here (specially in the post from sigmer on Mar 01, 2007 4:57 am ) and I always get this error:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in E:\MartinchoX\mantis-1.0.7\modules\time_tracking\time_tracking.php on line 249
I have included the time_tracking.php in the line 427 of the bug_view_page.php. The version of mantis is 1.0.7.
I don't know anything about php, I just wont the time tracking module working.
Thanks.

I have solved the problem. In the php.ini the short_open_tag were:
short_open_tag = Off.

Hmmm. Looks very nice and usefull, but download link doesn't work (anymore)....
Seems that Time Tracking is an hot item issue for most users of Mantis...
Well here's the answer wich I figured out due to searching and searching....
Download last version e.g. Mantis 1.1.0a4,
Upgrade database using :
http:\\yourhost\admin
Choose Upgrade
Edit config_defaults_inc.php and enable time-tracking
Et voila : timetracking in Mantis with stopwatch!!!

I've got timesheets enabled. But I the reporting (see the screen shots earlier in this thead) doesn't seem to appear. or looks very simple.

Well, some more is happening if you just use the default installation of time-tracker:
If you track time and some user may enter your system (as a regular user who may enter new call's) he/she can report (with the default reporting option in the menu) ALL time-tracks of ALL projects....
That seems NOT to be the most perfect reporting option I think

Hmm it is a pity time tracking has been open since 2005. This would be a really cool feature

Guest wrote:Hi Folks,
yesterday, after beeing swallowed up by work for months now, I had the time to program a little time & cost tracker.
It is modularized in such a way that you don´t have to touch the source code of your Mantis Instance at all. Just some includes and one SQL command and you´re set. Based an Mantis User-Concept, some users can only view the list while others can enter expenses and admins (or whoever is stated in the conf file) can even remove entries.
Although this is Alpha release stuff you still might like to use it. I will continue to work on it and post here, when it has matured.
Any comments are welcome! Developed in Mantis 0.19.1.
