We've used Mantis in our company for a long time, mostly as an bug-tracking and task-planning system. Now i have a task to find a system that will allow automatically create issuses through email (tickets) and reply with status to the end-users. OTRS has all the functionality, but i've prefer not to have 2 separate and somewhat similar systems. So, there are two questions:
Are there any possibility to make Mantis work as an issue tracking system? (Recieve emails, assign numbers to tickes, reply back)
OR
Are there any ways to integrate OTRS and Mantis, so incoming ticket will automatically appear in mantis?
