You don't need a date field, you just need a selection with two options: 1: Today 2: Yesterday

Thanks, that's for the due_date. I see date expected as being different from the due date. I'd like to have a date requested field, where the user can indicate their expectations for a new feature. Then the developers and the end user can negotiate about the due date.
