Workflow thresholds inheritance for subprojects

One of the projects using the mantis instance I'm administering (1.2.1), is actually made up of 1 parent and 4 child projects.

The project manager has asked me to customize the tresholds, so that reporters are able to :

• edit their own bugs - OK, so that's covered by #8141, whenever that gets implemented, and there's an easy workaround by changing the workflow threshold to allow reporters to update issues (although that has the unwanted side effect of enabling them to update any bug, but that's another problem.
• directly assign issues to developers - again, this is addressed via workflow thresholds

My question is, would it be feasible to have these settings, if set on the parent project, to automatically cascade to the sub-projects, in a similar fashion that the Categories and Versions work ?

If yes, it would be a useful feature in my opinion. What are your thoughts ?
