Adding a new field setting to 'Report Issue'

Is there a way I can add a drop down menu on the bug_report_advanced_page.php or bug_report_page.php for Resolution? Sometimes when I am taking support calls for software I like to keep track of minor issues but I'd rather not have to double back and change it to resolved. It'd be nice to be able to set and submit the issue as Resolved, Closed, or Open off the start.
