Creating and assigning a password for User

I'd like to know how can I enter Mantis as Admin, create a user with a small password (Ex: 1234), and after that, he can enter his account and change whatever info he should?

I created a new user (reporter status) and found no field regarding his password, so how can I log in now with that user? I tried his login with no password etc...

Just for the record I'm not using Mantis as production. I'm just testing it within some family routines at my house.

By default the new user is emailed a link to follow to set his (or her) own password. That does require email to be working and an email address to be specified though.
