I saw in your roadmap that you need a logo design for Mantis project. If you should still need one, I have designed one idea of mine that you might find useful. If you already have a working logo for your solution, ignore this message.

I'm the Director of Development for RI.gov, Rhode Island's state Web portal and developer of eGovernment Solutions. I've chosen Mantis for bug and task tracking for our online application development, and my staff and I have found it to be a fantastic piece of software that fits our needs perfectly!
So, our talented designer Dan Chapman would like to contribute his version of the Mantis logo for inclusion in the package (under the noncommercial Creative Commons License).
I prefer the second one. It is stylish and funny. The first one looks too much like a marathon logo from the old bungie game.

Here is one more
Theme is "Mantis eat bug!!!" >:-)
I'm sure making shematic 3-5 colored (possible more) with no text make something like next reaction.
- Hey, it is mantis he eats bug! It must help me.
- Oh, It'll help me in my tracking (Meybe using 3-4 shadow effect for playing word "tracking")
- This logo is senseble. I think this guys understand what are they doing and understand what need me.

Let us know what you think!
Very nice but, if possible, I would like to see it with a bold or heavy font used for the main text (Mantis): the goal is to improve the look at smaller sizes.
