Automated bug reporting

Hello,
I'm quite new to Mantis so excuse me this question has been asked already.

I'm running a educational website. Users can report bugs or feature requests from within the application. I want to send this information directly to Mantis so that users don't have to login to my Mantis implementation. I could do this by writing directly into the Mantis database but isn't there an other, more clean way to do this, like a webservice or so?
