Any plans to support Firebird DB? I use it a lot in my Delphi apps, it's just amazing engine.

I am not aware that there is a plan for that.
The underlying database abstraction layer seems to support Firebird, but not all features are implemented.

So if anyone has the time to do it, it will not be too hard to get it run.

There is also a developer discussion to replace the database layer in newer versions of MantisBT, but no final decision at the moment.

Unfortunately I don't have the skills for this:

but I'd be very interested if it was done. I'm moving to Firebird use in my apps.
