JIRA to MANTIS migration

Post by tumi »

Hi there. We are in process of stop using JIRA and moving totally to MANTIS (we are loving it!), but we are unable to find any information about how to migrate the information, of course we don't want to loose the historical data tracking. This would be a serious stopper...

It is easy to find information in performing the opposite (Mantis-->Jira) but no one about the desired Jira-->Mantis migration.

Is there any took or documented process to perform so?

THANK YOU very much in advance.

Hi,

You might want to give TaskAdapter a try ; it is commercial though but for now I don't see any other option.

Otherwise you might want to code something up using the SOAP/REST APIs exposed by Jira and Mantis.

Thanks! I'm going to study / try it, but after a first look I think attachments and other information will be lost.

I'm probably asking for the impossible, surely tarsk IDs will differ and integration with the CVS would be broken. grrrrrr

No, I'me afraid I gave up. Couldn't spend much time but seemed to be too many issues (evil is in details).

If you have better luck and time, or eventually know of some migration tool, please let me know!

Best,
