Deploy MantisBT in different departments.

Hello All,

I have installed MantisBT at local machine over the LAN, It is accessed by every computer in network of our office.

There are 3 Departments in our headoffice forexample,.

1- IT
2- Finance
3- Marketing

Now we want to deploy mantisbt in each of three departments with below senario.

In each department there is a department head, and 5 subordinates.
We want mantisbt to work as when any subordinate report an issue.
It should be automaticaly assigned to Department Head.
After then the Department Head will assign that issue to any subordinate he wants except the reporter.

And no other department can view these issues,, Only specific department can view resolve there own department issues..


How can we make it.
Sorry i am new to Mantisbt.

I recommend to create 3 private projects (one for each department).
Assign the head as manager to the project and the subordinates as developers.
Create categories for the project and assign the manager to the categories, thus he will be automatically assigned whenever an issue is entered.
