APPLICATION ERROR #1100

Post by anna »

Hello,

I have a problem with regards to the menu selection "My View".
When I would like to create a new partnership with another
issue and the box for the issue's number is blank the following
error will occur while using the "Add" button:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Issue 0 not found.

Please use the "Back" button in your web browser to return to the previous page.
There you can correct whatever problems were identified in this error or select another action.
You can also click an option from the menu bar to go directly to a new section.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perhaps, is there a possibility for a popup window with an information to filling out the box?

Thanking you in advance.

Anna.

Hello Anna:
Let me first apologize in advance if I have misunderstood your question.
---
If you are referring to clicking 'Add' to add a relationship to another defect without specifying the defect number, then yes this does bring up the error you describe [I was able to reproduce this behavior]. The only way I can think of to make this fail more gracefully (which would be a customization) would be to add client-side javascript to check that the value was not empty and prompt the user with an alert dialog or other message.
---
Hope that helps, let us know If that isn't what you were asking.
Regards,
-Harold

Hello Harold,

many thanks for your prompt reply. You understood my question exactly.
I also was considering writing a small javascript to work around this error.

Nevertheless I hoped for a neater solution which is already implemented. ;-)

Regards, Anna.
