Yep, there is a lot of development in Mantis. Mantis 1.1.x branch has a lot of new features. As for MantisConnect, there is a lot of new features since last formal release but these were not included in a release.

Mantis 1.1.0a3 and 1.0.7 are going to be released during March.

Hi,
are there any news about the 1.0.7 release? It's because my company wants to upgrade from 1.0.1 and wants to wait for the .7 release instead of migrating to .6 and then again to .7. :)

Best regards
Patrick

They were promised for March, two posta above, so I guess it's just a matter of days now. :)

(I know I'm being overly optimistic, as always. ;))

Right, I'm counting the days so I couldn't pinch myself from asking

I've sent a preview release for 1.0.7 to mantisbt-dev mailing list.

If someone here gets to try it out, please post your feedback here. I would like to see this release officially out of the door within a week.

Any news on 1.1.0a3? I see it was removed from the Roadmap page. Does that mean that 1.1.0stable is next? :)

Any timeline when 1.1.0 final will be out? It's under development for a quite long time now.

1.1.0a3

I would be interested as well.

It would also be good to have a place where people can see what is missing, to help.

Kind of like the roadmap feature, hopefully coming in 1.1.0a3 ;-)

1.1.0 ?

Post by jotango »

Any idea when 1.1.0 will be out?

1.1.0a3 is over 2 months old while 1.1.0a2 is over 7 months old.

I feel the number of ads and donation buttons on the mantis pages are increasing while development speed decreases...

Hi jotango, we have been doing a lot of development but were being blocked by UTF8 upgrade path issues. Now that we got this out of the away, we are planning to release 1.1.0a4 in the next week or two max. We will also branch on the release after which is likely to be an rc1 release. In the rc1 stage there will be feature freeze and the focus will be to get 1.1.0 gold out of the door.

Beyond Mantis 1.1.0, we will be focusing on releasing more stable releases. Recently a lot of users have been using Mantis 1.1.x development releases and were giving good feedback about quality. This indicates to us that we need to branch sooner and release stable releases.
