Getting stuck installing latest mantis on a php8.2 ubuntu server

I get all green status on the first and second page, but when it is supposed to create the database it just stays at this point:

Does mantis work on php 8.2?

PHP 8.2 is not supported at the moment, see https://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=32027

Ah at least I was guessing correctly... Thanks for the link. Is there any rough idea when it will be fixed?

It would not be serious if I gave a date.
At the moment there is good progress, as one developer is focused on this topic.
No one is paid to develop Mantis, everything is done in free time, so you never know what will happen.

No worries. I run a bunch of mantis servers, but as php7.4 is EOL I am migrating servers to 8.2. I would be happy to help test this update as I don't have any existing data on this test server.

For the moment just watch the mentioned issue and the child issues, especially this one https://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view.php?id=32028
As soon as it's fixed, there is a good chance that the installer works.
